Kurt’s fascination with the financial markets and his love for educating and helping people led him to a career in the financial services industry over 10 years ago. Kurt joined Baird in 2016 and is passionate about helping people develop and implement a financial plan to achieve their financial goals. He helps clients determine how much they need to save for retirement, how much they can spend in retirement to not outlive their assets and, ultimately, how to pass along assets to the people they care about tax efficiently. His expertise includes retirement and estate planning, life insurance and long term care evaluations, education on when and how to take Social Security and tax reduction investment strategies.
Kurt graduated from Iowa State University where he studied engineering, architecture and art. He is actively involved in his church and in mission work, recently returning from three months in Africa. He is also passionate about working with youth and actively supports the arts. He is currently on the board of Habitat for Humanity. Outside the office Kurt enjoys painting, photography, biking, tennis, golf and many other outdoor activities.
